Should i be keen in it?
As usual, monday blues at work...

0935am, called into meeting room by boss... was thinking of what had happened as i the only 1 being called into room.. so its can be meeting / discussion..
he casually chatted over some work issues and then started on his topic
"Are you keen in getting a DSO Scholarship??"
was quite shocked over hearing it as its the first time i got such an offer, an offer to take up a scholarship (coz i am not those bright kid, who got scholarship during studies ).
The details was mainly being paid to go oversea to study for a master programme related to work, either choose fully paid or partial paid that come with a bond...
Qns is now, am i keen in taking up a master? am i keen in further my study / career in this field (mainly software aspect)? am i prepared to go oversea alone (for 1 yr)?
haiz... a sudden qns asked generated so many different qns and thoughts to consider... i really dunno what i want seriously, meaning before i got the qns i never really consider so much...
haiz.. i believed it really time to think what i really want... what my future going to be... what my career prospect....

can someone help me??

Every program / system need to undergo testing... UNIT Testing... so after Junit in sch (haiz, regret never frm ah li when she was doing.. sob sob), we have NUnit here...

Phew! Its over..
Phew... my highly anticipated software review is finally over on the 15th of Feb...
haiz.. but its not really a good day for me...
The review was held after lunch, at 0230pm. I was assigned to write the minutes for this review... bobian.. boss asked "can you help to write the minutes for this review?", what other answers can i have le... no choice have to agree...

The review started promptly at 0230pm and there were 3 invited reviewers. 15min in the midst of review.. i was feeling very uncomfortable.. initially thought that i might be too nervous as i have a portion in presenting.. so maybe drinking some warm coffee might calm me down... but i wrong again....
30minutes later i ran to the washroom.. and finally vomitted..... haiz i suspect its my lunch.. i cant do much.. i went back for the review again.... in the mid of its.. vomitted few times.. stupid me.. damn lousy... first offical review and i screwed it up..
Luckily i managed to present my part smoothly...
The review lasted 3hrs+ at 6pm. Director came to me say need the minutes urgently by tonight.. so i stayed back till 8pm to write the minutes... my 2 bosses also stayed back wif me.. as they need to vet through my stuff.
However, was quite disappointed in myself.. my first time MINUTES was a totally CMI. Bosses have to edit for me.. so sianz. Usually people are given 2 days to write where i am only given 2 hours or less... nevertheless, my bosses never scold me. *That the cruz of the Guiltiness*... haiz..
To make it worse, i went see the doctor at 8pm++ and was scolded by the doctor for coming so late when i have vomitted so many time...
Not only good things come in doubles, bad things also..

Went home really sick... was damn scared will get admitted to hospital like 3yrs back... luckily did not.. was like a drowsy pig.. sit where sleep where.... but luckily was feeling better on saturday morning and can still got frenz hse Bai Nian...
Have took care of my diet and restrained myself from oily food....

Its really a very very different / special / suay experience.....

I am now looking forward to the GSTC** Seminar and lastly my Hongkong Trip.. can count down le..

Hot Deadlines...

Fri supposingly to go back to HQ for CNY celebration.. but was already informed.. sorry but due to tight deadline... we will conduct meeting before lunch.. after 2 hr break (lunch), resume meeting...

cannot disagreed but this time i really working working very hard since i first started work after graduation.
fully utilised my 8hrs of works - not msn, not blogging, not surfing net but by doing serious work.
Why am i so good or guai suddenly??... becoz of the hot and hard deadlines...

Feb 15...
ya right its 15.. not 14th Valentine Day.. don't think seriously hve the mood to celebrate.. worse case might be staying in ofc rushing reports, powerpoints..

spend the entire morning till 3pm having meetings, discussions with engineers frm the state. Use MSN (ya taught my bosses how to use it) to communicate with some s/w engineers in the state (its was 9pm there where it was 10am in Spore).

had a short briefing which TL aka team leader aka boss informed us of our current progress..
  • 15th Feb - software review..
  • after 15th Feb - refine documents, requirements (1mth)
  • spend another 1 mth on s/w design
  • start coding aka development
  • do testing, unit testing,
  • integration testing..

phew.. he finally concluded.. by the end of this year, we will hve the exposure of a full s/w development life cycle.. and also added.. nxt project we can lead our own team.. haha

The pace is moving so fast now.. that i feel i might hve a problem catching up with the team. my colleagues are all with many years of development experiences, a higher grade (T2 and above) whereas i am just a fresh fresh gal who just grad frm Uni (T1 to be exact).

keep recalling did i seriously seriously make a right decision to take up this position, enter the engineering field where i actually not properly trained in it..or maybe or perhap i really not capable for it...

On the contray, am i such a person who will give up half way, in the mid of everything. Colleagues n bosses treated me so well.. trying not to give me the pressure, 看得起你才给你做 is what pple told me.. haiz and that was boss said when he passed me my confirmation review "you hve done way passed what we expected of you."

Is that a compliment, or seriously asking me to "pls buck up"???.. i really dunno...

frenz thought i committed sucide on monday when i off my msn, off my mobile.. remained uncontactless.. maybe its a better way to let me hve some peace? and not to think so much...

Hanzi jio me out tonight, for dinner and also do some shopping... decided to go as hoping that my hobby will make me happy and not make me think so much so that i can enjoy myself..

however....

i returned home empty handed.. die die wanted to grab a dress but suay suay the colour i wan is OOS.... walked alot of other shops but saw nothing i fancy.. hanzi say.. its normal, the more you want buy thing, the more you returned empty-handed...

or maybe is it my mood for shopping also deproved with the burden, stress i currently experiencing.. haha in this case chew zi will be happy.. i will save alot..

or maybe i am simply saving for shopping at HK. however there might be a possibilty that i may return home empty-handed hor... (but possibility not that high lah)

worse... hanzi banned me from dessert.... all stupid fat fat fault.. told her we going bakerzin again on fri... haiz.. mean fri go vivo no bakerzin..... no dessert, no cakes...

i trying to keep myself happy.. cheer myself up.. be involved in other happiness, very importantly.. keep myself very very very busy.. so that i wun think so much.. hehehe

Last week was a short working week for me.. only worked from Mon to Wed.
Attended my induction course (2-days event) == orientation course on Thur. I'm almost 6mth old in the company but due to crash in schedule, i only managed to attend this last induction before confirmation on Thur.
Skipped Fri induction to attend my Division Interaction Day == Team Building Day.
Went to Fort Canning at-sunrise cooking sch.
Toured the Spice Garden, learn basic table setting, folding of napkins and most importantly cook my own lunch. 3 courses lunch!
I folded 1.. nice??? Candle.. Oriental Hotel 2 Fold Fans.. Elf Shoe.

Maybe when i am out of job, i can considered jumping into F & B industry.
lastly, vietnam spring roll..
Meet up with an old frenz for movie and dinner.
Watched Le Grand Chef in Korean. quite a gd plot.. touching too coz i cried.. at the COW part.. haiz..
See the show made me so tempted to eat Korean Food.. who wan? i wan go Togi..
As usual, dinner at town and followed with coffee at starbuck. Got an extra cup of coffee FOC by the staff there due to wrong order..

Saturday.. went to JB with frenz.. was brought to Pelangi.. honestly speaking other then city square in JB.. i never been to other departmental stores there before.. so whatever place choosen will be okie with me.
Really spend the day eating.. expensive Japanese Food.. Belly portion of Sashimi which is very exp in Spore but due to the exchange rate.. its affordable eating there.
and most importantly don't forget, my desert - Secret Recipe Cakes.. was a bit disappointed this time round as the Tiramisu cake was So So.. and quite sweet to me personally.
Dun be surprised but i really left JB empty handed except for a full stomach, a packet of walnut and this...

~to all those frenz who dunno, i have a big crush for this cute toy since poly time.. image the big big toy sleeping beside me everynite~
Shocking to find it at cold storage there.. saw it while queuing at the counter and without thinking, grabbed it and pay for it. its not really cheap.. RM3.99, but who care, since i dun have this design before.
In summary, JB is a good place for eating, KTV, movie and shopping at supermarket. The fashion trend there is slower then Spore so better be careful when buying thing there.. you might be out of trend.

Watched Alien vs Predator 2.. due to the 3 gals (including me) crazy spending, we missed 5min of the show as we were running frm Far East to Cine.
who can tell me what i missed??

Dinner was at NYDC wheelock.. and honestly speaking the quality, quantity of NYDC decreased tremendously esp to a previously big Fan of NYDC like me.. think i will really consider consider for very long before i stepped into there again.
so Disappointing!!
